How to manage stress along with dandruff?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 20 year Male. I have a dandruff that seems like a leaf (seborrheic dermatitis) . I mean to say it is not like a usual dandruff. Due to dandruff, my hair has become thin and falling out. This situation is making me stressed. I have been visiting a dermatologist for one-four times. He gave shampoo with some supplements like Hair Aid capsules and Vit D3 tablets. But they are not helping me to get my hair thickness back and also the shampoo just works temporarily and the very next day my scalp gets dry severely. My routine includes exercise, six to seven hours of sleep, and no stress. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Regarding your symptoms, I believe you are gradually developing androgenic alopecia, which is hair fall due to hormone imbalance and contributed by scalp hair disease. Please do a hormone profile test and use the following topical 0.2 percent Minoxidil cream bid for one month.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
