Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had some eye problem for which I was asked to do warm compress around the eyes. As a result, I am suffering from dark circles, fine lines, and aging spots. Please suggest any relevant medication. Also, I am not able to understand my skin structure. In the winters, it is too dry and in the summer it is too oily. Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand that there has been damage to the skin. White spots on the sides of the right sides are called miliaria crystallina. In simple terms, it is the enlargement and plugging of the sweat glands. You will need to go to a dermatologist to remove the plugs or blockage with a needle. Then it will be fine. It is a very small procedure and takes about 15 minutes for me and not painful also. Another issue is of the skin quality being different for different parts of the face. Trust me, 90 % people have this problem and you are no different. Acne is a result of that nothing else. With daily travel and dust and other environmental factors, this problem becomes bigger. Just use a good gentle face cleanser to wash your face. In your case, I will recommend Avene cleansing foam. Just apply it to wet face and wash away. Do not rub or do anything else. As for the aging problem, a majority has to do with skin damage. Damage makes the skin look more old and tired. I recommend Reverzo undereye cream by Glenmark at night. If you cannot find it then you can use Auriga Flavo-C cream instead. Apply gently under eyes and let it stay overnight. It should improve the quality very soon. Skin of the face is oily near the nose and forehead and cheek and sides of face are dry. Keep this in mind next time you wash face. It is very important that you use a good sunscreen. If the face is oily, then I recommend Isdin fusion water and if it is normal then La Shield fisico (this might be a little oily but for normal skin, it is absolutely fine). Use it everyday after shower and 20 minutes before going outdoors. It will prevent any sun damage that can make the skin look old. Rest all seems fine. I have other solutions too for under eyes but they are more expensive. So, first improve the quality of the skin. It will make a lot of difference. You can revert back if you have any questions. Thank you.
