Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have noticed that I am getting dark spots on my lower back and buttock. The lesions are getting more visible recently. I do not have this problem anywhere else on the skin. Could you please help?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern, and please answer the following questions. Is your lesion painful or tender? Do you sweat excessively? Is there any occlusion? Do you wear tight clothes? Is there any aggravation of itching at night? Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply. It is not painful normally, but rarely, I get some bumps that are painful to touch. I do not sweat much, and I usually try to avoid tight clothes. As I have gained weight recently, my clothes have become a little tight. I do not have itching.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Your lesion is due to folliculitis (infection of the hair follicle with prickly heat rash). I suggest use Mupirocin ointment or Fucidin (Fusidic acid) cream twice daily for 15 days. Use Azac soap (Azelaic acid) for one month. Take Tablet Zifi (Cefixime) 200 mg once daily after food for five days (OR) Tablet Azithromycin 500 mg once daily for three days. Use Clotrimazole dusting powder, immediately after bath for one month. If you have a burning sensation, try Calamine lotion two to three times daily to soothe and cool the lesion. Wear loose, comfortable thin cotton inners and clothes. Avoid wearing tight jeans, synthetic wear, heat, moisture, and activities that cause sweating. Stay in a well-ventilated and cool environment. Maintain proper hygiene and keep a check on sugar levels. Regards.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply. Can I get a formal prescription?

As this is a query consultation, I will be unable to provide a formal prescription. Please consult a nearby doctor for the same. Thank you.
