Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I took three pills of Unwanted 72 one week before my period date. I did not get my periods. I feel little cramps in my lower abdomen, and today morning I found a little spotting. Whether I am pregnant? Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I fully understand your concern and will surely help you.

You have taken an excessive dose of unwanted 72, which is an emergency contraceptive pill. These pills are hormone-based, and they have this known side effect of delay in periods. With such a heavy dose of the emergency contraceptive pill, you face the problem of cramps and spotting. You will not be pregnant for sure. Also, I request you not to take such a large quantity of emergency contraceptive pills as excess, and frequent use of these pills can cause pregnancy problems. These are emergency contraceptive pills and not birth control pills, so minimize the use. You will not get pregnant, that I assure you. Also, share the details of the last menstrual period and if still worried. Please do a urine pregnancy test with the first urine of the day for an accurate result. Do not drink too much fluid prior to your test. Adhere to all the guidelines written on the package of the pregnancy test kit.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
