Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have not involved in any sexual activity, but my period is late for ten days. What is the reason? Please help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Please send your gynecology, and obstetrics report, drug history and medical history. Strict diet, strenuous exercise, anxiety, stress, illness, contraceptives, medications, and hormonal imbalance can cause delayed periods. If you are not involved in sexual activity and if the blood pregnancy test is negative, then you can have a menstrual induction. Take tablet Primolut N 10 mg (Norethisterone) twice daily for six days and then wait for bleeding for one to two weeks. If you have any abnormal hair growth, with weight gain and irregular periods, then do a blood test on the second day of the periods. Test your testosterone levels, progesterone, insulin, prolactin, thyroid function test, FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) and LH (luteinizing hormone). Have a transvaginal scan. Collect the results and discuss here. Have a healthy diet, daily walk, and try to have normal BMI (body mass index). Do recreational activities and avoid having recreational drugs. You can have combined oral contraceptive pills for three months to regulate the menstrual cycle.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
