Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My period got delayed by 10 days and after checking with a pregnancy kit, I found out that I am pregnant. But, when underwent sonography, there was no pregnancy. I have not got my periods yet and have vomiting and giddiness. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I would suggest you to repeat pregnancy test immediately and if again positive then repeat ultrasound as well to see what is happening and you can start taking Folic acid meanwhile. In the early pregnancies, sometimes sac is not seen and it becomes visible as pregnancy progresses. So, if pregnancy test is still positive then sac must become visible and if pregnancy test becomes negative that means that the previous one could be a false positive one.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Now the pregnancy test is also negative. Can this be due to hormonal changes?

Answered by Dr. Nadia Khan

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

No, it is not like that. It was possibly due to contaminated kit which you used previously. So, it means you are not pregnant. It has been confirmed now.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
