Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 23-year-old woman who has been married for four months now, and my family expects us to give them good news. I had a missed period two months back. Unfortunately, there was severe bleeding the next month. And now, I have not had my period yet for this month. It has been delayed by ten days. What could be the problem?

Please answer.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

Irregular periods mean that you are not ovulating on time. Every woman will get their period 14 days after ovulation. So if you are having a period of more than seven days from the expected date, then you have not ovulated. However, I suggest you to follow a few instructions mentioned below,

1. I hope you have had the home urine pregnancy test kit; please take up the test. What if you are already pregnant?

2. Get a thyroid profile done. This is to figure out the causes of anovulation.

3. I suggest you to take the tablet Primolut-N (Norethisterone) or Norgest or Regestrone or Regulate to induce period. Take one tablet twice a day for ten days. You will get periods within the next 7 to 10 days.

4. Also, if all the results are normal, I suggest you to take an ovulation induction tablet CCQ (Clomiphene Citrate and Ubidecarenone) or Siphene (Clomifene Citrate) 100 mg. Take one tablet at night for five days, starting from the third day of the period. This will improve ovulation without any side effects.

Your expected body weight is 55 to 58 kg. So with low body weight, your hormones may be altered. So do not add on weight, have a healthy and nutritious diet.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them and take the medicines with their consent.

I hope I have clarified your query.

Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
