Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My whole life I had regular periods right after 28 days but this time it has been six days late. I am not married nor am involved in any sexual relationship. What should I do to get my period?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It is common for women to experience changes in their menstrual cycle from time to time, and there can be several reasons why your period may be delayed. Stress, changes in diet or exercise habits, changes in weight, and hormonal imbalances can all contribute to changes in your menstrual cycle. If you are not sexually active and you are not experiencing any other symptoms such as pain, fever, or heavy bleeding, it is generally safe to wait and see if your period starts on its own. You may need an ultrasound abdomen. In the meantime, try to manage any stress or anxiety you may be experiencing, and maintain a healthy diet and exercise routine. This can help support your overall health and may help regulate your menstrual cycle. Feel free to contact me for further queries.

Thank you.
