Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Two months back, I had sex 12 to 15 days before my menstruation. Also, I took I-pill and have had withdrawal bleeding. But I did not have periods last month. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

As withdrawal bleeding has already occurred after the intercourse, there is less chance of being pregnant. However, I suggest you get a urine pregnancy test with the morning sample to confirm this. The delayed periods could be due to some hormonal disturbance due to stress or other factors. Also, I would suggest:

  • Tablet Primolut V (norethindrone) once a day for five days.

Which will help to get the periods once this medication is stopped.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
