Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

During sex, my boyfriend wore a condom and took 30 seconds for ejaculation. I checked if it was leaked, but there was no leakage. Afterward, he washed his hands properly and masturbated on my organ. Can I get pregnant? And my period always gets delayed by six days. Is it because of sex?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

If your period always gets delayed by six days, it means that your menstrual cycle becomes long. Only one normal sperm is required to get pregnant. The time of sex also depends as the early half of the cycle is fertile, and the late phase is not as fertile. Even the day near menstrual bleeding is not included in the infertile phase. You had sex in the early phase of the cycle, as per your history. You told as there was no leakage, actually, so there is less of a chance of pregnancy, but for your satisfaction it is better to check with the blood pregnancy test only if you miss your period.

Best of luck.
