Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My periods are not coming. I had sex just a few days before my last month's period date which was one month back and now I do not get periods.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I have gone through your history in detail and understand your concerns. As per your description, these symptoms could be due to hormonal imbalance, but it could be due to pregnancy also (though the chances are extremely low). But as you missed your periods it could be an anovulatory cycle (due to hormonal changes) or due to pregnancy (if precum contains sperm). You should go for a home urine pregnancy test after seven days of your missed period date or blood beta-hCG testing to rule out pregnancy right now. If pregnancy is not there it could be due to hormonal imbalance and you can wait and watch for your menses or can take progesterone for withdrawal bleeding. Get your thyroid profile and hemoglobin also tested for any hormonal changes.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
