Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I got married before five months. For the last two months, my period is delayed for eight to ten days. I took pregnancy tests and they showed negative results. In this month, I had some spotting for the past three days and after eight to ten days, I had some bleeding. I could not differentiate whether it is period or pregnancy bleeding. I have episodes of nausea without vomiting and fatigue. It happens for a week and then disappears for some time and it comes back again. Before marriage, I had a regular menstrual cycle. What is the reason?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. You can have these symptoms due to hormonal problems or it can be associated with stress. Please mention whether you are taking any medications on regular basis. Irregular periods need careful evaluation. I suggest you consult a gynecologist soon. She can do a physical examination. You need to do some diagnostic tests to get a proper diagnosis. Also, you need to do an ultrasound of the lower abdomen. Once the underlying cause is identified, then she can give you an appropriate treatment.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
