Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My date of the period was 10th of this month but I got it on 6th. Next month on 2nd, we have a religious function in the temple, so I want to delay my periods. Which medicine is better to use? Some say Primolut N or Ovral G or Ovral l. Please suggest me any medicine with proper dosage thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Generally, to delay periods, Progesterone hormones have better performance. So take the following medications in given dosage, two days prior to expected next date of your periods, till the date you wish to delay. Delaying periods in once a blue moon is fine, but doing it frequently might cause irregularity in periods, or transient cysts in ovaries. Take tablet Primolut N 5 mg twice a day after food.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
