Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I delivered my second baby four months ago, and I had been bleeding for a month. After that, I had spotting at different times. I recently had slight bleeding and spotting for almost seven days two months ago. Again I had spotting last month. I am perplexed about my periods. We arranged our baby's head tonsure at a temple a few days ago. Today I feel like getting my periods as I have some symptoms like nausea and bloating, and my body feels hot. Please prescribe me a tablet to delay my period.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for writing, and I understand your concern.

The tablet must be given two to three days before the period dates, and you are already experiencing symptoms, so it will be tough to stop now. Another thing is it is not ideal for a lactating mother as the tablet contains hormones that may affect the baby. So I would suggest you avoid such medications for now. But if you still want, I can prescribe it.

Please let me know.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
