Dengue Screening

Dengue Screening tests are not suggested in asymptomatic patients or for preconception screening. Screening tests are of different kinds, namely molecular test, Dengue virus Antigen detection(NS1), serologic test, and tissue tests. Specimens used for tests include serum, whole blood, plasma, fixed tissue, cerebrospinal fluid, and tissue. Molecular tests can help diagnose only within the first seven days after the onset of symptoms, whereas serologic tests can help in detection even after that period.
