Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have nausea, fever, severe headaches, pain behind the eye, fatigue, and vomiting. I also have skin rashes that appeared four days after the fever. I have been having this for almost a week now. Is this dengue? What is your opinion?

Kindly help.

Answered by Dr. Mayank Agarwal

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms you specified could be because of dengue. However, other diseases like measles could not be ruled out based on symptoms. You should mention the type and area of rash along with the degree of fever. There is no specific drug for dengue. Maintain hydration by drinking adequate fluid. For fever, take Acetaminophen 500 mg two to three times a day. Avoid any other painkillers like Aspirin or Ibuprofen. Consult your specialist doctor, talk with them, and take medications with their consent. Kindly upload the photograph of the rash if possible.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
