What is the treatment for dengue fever?

In both the cases we have to keep the treatment strategy in different ways. There is no definite cure for the disease and it is self-limiting. People usually get better in a few weeks. Take plenty of fluids and water to replenish electrolytes and keep you hydrated. Take fever reducing agents like Tylenol (Acetaminophen) but no Aspirin. Take complete bed rest. Keep an eye on your body and body openings. If there are any signs of petechiae, blue spots, bleeding from orifices, stool color darker brownish black or red, urine color change or anything that may give a suspicion of bleeding, call the emergency service right away. It is because it may be a bleeding due to reduced platelet counts and blood or platelets transfusion may be needed right away to get better and to save you from life threatening bleeding.
