Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am on a cruise without any access to dental care. It feels like one of my fillings has come out partially. Not sure what to do. Any suggestions or care I can take to avoid it coming out completely?

Thank you, doctor.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

1. Avoid hard, spicy, hot, or cold foods on the concerned side.

2. Brush gently and rinse your mouth after every meal to prevent infection or food lodgement into the cavity space.

Even if the filling comes out entirely, do not worry. You can get this refilled once you are back. However, suppose the cavity starts giving pain or discomfort. In that case, I suggest you take (consult with a specialist doctor, talk with him or her and take medicines with their consent) tablet Tylenol (Acetaminophen) if necessary.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
