Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been suffering from depression for two and a half years. I am sick and need help. But I have nothing to say when someone asks me what is wrong. I have suicidal thoughts every day, with frequent anxiety attacks almost three to four times daily. I have been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, but a few formalities are left. In the past, I took Escitalopram 10 mg, Clonazepam 0.5 mg, and Sertraline. Currently, I am taking Lithium. Thyroid function test, LFT, RFT, and CBC came out normal, and serum Lithium is now in range. I have no idea what is wrong with me, and I do not want to die. I do not think I will live longer.

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your frequent mood swings and suicidal thoughts could be due to ongoing mood disturbances or personality disorders. Persistent bad thoughts, negative ideas, depressed mood, etc., are part of depression. You are on Escitalopram, and it is a safe drug. It will help you to come out of depression. Focus on your work and suppress negative thoughts; you will be alright.

Thank you.
