Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 47 year old, unmarried, diabetic type-2, male without a career. I am taking Stalopan 10 mg and 20 mg and Lonazep 0.25 at night for depression for the past 20 and 15 days. I am feeling very tired and sleepy in the daytime but cannot stop my suicidal thoughts. Please help me.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You must visit a nearby psychiatrist for suicidal thoughts. Do not stay alone. The medicine will take four to six weeks for full effect. You can stop Lonazep if you have daytime sleepiness. Lonazep is used for sleep disturbance. And even depression causes sleepiness and tiredness. It will improve as medication starts to take effect. Do daily exercise for 30 to 40 minutes, do meditation for 15 minutes, do what you like for 20 minutes like give time for your hobbies, read good books, painting, write journals, take good healthy foods, avoid junk food, get sound sleep for seven to eight hours, spend quality time with family and friends. Live life. Find a reason to live. Being jobless is not the end of life. Do something new. Start your new life. TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) and vitamin B12 level need to be checked to rule out thyroid disorder or B12 deficiency because both cause depressive disorder. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
