Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am an 18-year-old boy and I feel like I get ignored by people and friends. Now, I do not talk much to people, and I do not have any friends also. I feel more and more depressed as days pass. I think I have a good personality and I am handsome too. What should I do to overcome depression?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understood your concern.

Firstly, I would like you confirm it is a clinical depression. For that, I suggest you to undergo a self-rating test of depression online, and if it is indicative of depression consult a psychiatrist.

In addition, I suggest you to follow the instructions mentioned below,

    1. Kindly spend one hour on your favorite hobbies.
    2. Do meditation for half an hour a day.
    3. Keep a stress diary, write down any stressful thoughts coming to your mind, and do not try to read them again.
    4. Keep in mind that it does not depend on others but on our capacity to cope.

I hope this has helped you.

Please follow up if you have more doubts.

    Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
