Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been a failure since elementary school and find it hard to concentrate on any subject. As a result, my grades go from average to poor. I have mood swings, but I try my best to study and concentrate. I am 20 years old and still get these mood swings and find it difficult to study my course. My parents are very strict and upset with me for my bad grades at college. I hate my life and do not feel like living anymore. I do not have any friends either. I am very antisocial and introverted. My parents do not want me to meet a psychiatrist because they think I am normal, and it is just my procrastinating nature that needs to be solved. I feel very miserable. Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. I would suggest you consult a psychiatrist in person. Also, you can take help from any of your family members, friends, or teachers to whom you are close, so they can talk to your parents. Finally, I would suggest the following: Regular exercise for 30 to 40 minutes. Indulge in activities like painting, reading, writing, or other activities in which you are interested. Try interacting with people. Stay away from social media. Eat healthy food, and avoid junk food. Have a deep sleep.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
