Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My brother is 28 years old. He is Covid positive. He was diagnosed with COVID-19 before a week. He does not have a fever, body pain, and breathing issues. Initially, he had a fever and throat irritation. But now it is no more. His SpO2 level seems to be normal above 95 percent consistently. He has regular breathing without issues. Now while taking deep breathing, he starts to have coughing and feels something abnormal near the lungs. He faces difficulty while taking deep breaths. Is it serious? Currently, he is taking Anti-flu 75 mg, Jetta 12 mg, Azithromycin 500, Paracetamol 500 mg, Ascorbic acid 500 mg, Multivitamin tablets, Vitamin B complex tablets, and Pantoprazole.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It is happy to know that your brother is asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic. Though he does not have difficulty breathing while walking, he appears to have difficulty while running. So it may be insignificant, but it may also indicate a certain amount of lung involvement in terms of pneumonia. To diagnose pulmonary affliction, you need to do a high-resolution CT (computed tomography) scan of the chest. I hope that your brother is taking the required treatment based on his current clinical evidence, disease severity, and progress.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
