Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I usually smoke. I have taken all kinds of tests like JAK2 and Erythoprotein. It is confirmed that I have this condition due to smoking. I have reduced the number of smokes for a day and longer intervals before a week. I am going through this feeling on the left side of my chest recently. It is a weird feeling of blood flow through the nerve. It seems to be at the edge of the chest that connects to the back.

It is like a small line of vibration. I feel it for every second with a break. I got my blood counts and did a venesection today. I have attached the reports. I have cholesterol and I am taking Rosuvastatin, Lipicard, and Aspirin 75 mg daily. My hematologist told me that this feeling will go away when I donate blood. But it has not resolved. It subsided for a while when I donated and it has started again now.

Please help me to know how to get rid of it and what is the reason for having it. I had this same problem in my leg before eight months. I have done scans and even an MRI of the head. It was all normal. But this time, it is a chest and it is very irritating. Kindly advise. I have no other symptoms and only vibration of blood. I was taking Neurobion forte. Is there anything to be worried because it is on my left side?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your symptoms are related to a pinched nerve in the thoracic vertebral column, and it may result in a bulging of intervertebral disk. For this reason, I would recommend performing a cervicothoracic spine MRI 9magnetic resonance imaging) to investigate this issue. Does the pain gets triggered by deep breathing or manual pressure on this region? This can indicate a local musculoskeletal pain or costochondritis. In the meantime, I recommend you take Gabapentin or Pregabalin. If any of these drugs help you, it indicates a pinched nerve. Hope you will find this answer helpful. Please let me know in case of further questions.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I do not have pain. I have a feeling of blood flow with a vibration that is continuous. I had similar problem in my leg and I took Neurobion. It got subsided. Does it work? I will search for the medicine mentioned by you. I want to stop having this feeling and it is very irritating.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I recommend you take Neurobion forte (vitamin B1 with vitamin B2) again. This can also occur due to vitamin B12 or vitamin B1 deficiency, considering the fact that it subsides with this supplement. For this reason, before starting the supplement, I would recommend checking vitamin B12 and vitamin B1 plasma levels.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I tried taking it for two days. Still, I have a problem. I will check the levels too. Please suggest some recommendations.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I would recommend performing a cervicothoracic vertebral column X-ray study. I would recommend you to try a local massage with a painkiller ointment.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
