Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am under medication for depression and anxiety. I am taking the following medicines;

1. Capsule Venlafaxine - 75 mg.

2. Tablet Mirtazapine - 30 mg.

I do not drink alcohol or take drugs. But sometimes, I feel shaky, lightheaded, etc., after eating, so I went to see an endocrinologist. I got a blood test and a glucose tolerance test on his suggestion. I am sharing the results (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). Also, a few months ago, I got a blood test done, and it was all normal. The only change in my life is that I am not exercising. Should I seek medical assistance immediately, or can this wait for a few days? Kindly share your suggestions.

I appreciate any help you can provide.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your liver enzymes are elevated, and your blood sugar level is high. But for liver enzymes and sugar, no urgent treatment is required; you can wait to see your doctor. TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) is borderline high. For the TSH level, treatment may be initiated, but it depends on the severity of the symptoms. You can seek symptomatic treatment for the problems you are suffering from your endocrinologist. However, there is nothing to worry.

Hope this helps.

Kindly revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
