Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My height is 5 feet 5 inches my weight is around 135 pounds. I am currently taking tablets Adderall and Lexapro for ADHD and depression. For the past three months, I have had a reoccurring issue with my eyes, but my left eye is usually worse. Before I go to bed, my eyes start to feel dry and also start to feel like there is something in them. Sometimes they get watery, and most of the time, when I try to close my eyes to go to sleep, they sting, and they hurt too close. When I wake up, they feel extremely dry and irritated. Once I am finally able to open my eye, it looks bloodshot. Sometimes I wake up with very watery eyes (yes, they are watery, but they still feel dry). Most of the time, I wake up with gunk in my eye's outer and inner corners. They feel extremely irritated throughout the day, and the redness never completely disappears. My vision also gets cloudy and hazy, and I have to blink a lot to clear it up, but the cloudiness always comes back. I have tried not wearing makeup, utilizing my systane eye drops, and wiping my eyes with micellar water wipes every night, but these symptoms do not go away completely. There are days when my eyes are fine (just dry), but the more irritating symptoms always come back. I originally thought it was pink eye and used pink eye drops, but they did not help. Kindly advice.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Please wear your glasses and use lubricant eye drops containing Sodium Hyaluronate 0.1 % six times a day which means almost two to three hours. Continue your medical treatment as above. Get well soon.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
