Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My father has a rash on both calves, and itching happens. Please suggest a remedy.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Please attach the picture of the lesion for better understanding.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have attached the picture of the lesion for your better understanding.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is a dust mite allergic rash. I advise, Fucibet cream (Fusidic acid + Betamethasone) twice daily for seven days, Tablet Levocetirizine (Xyzal) 5 mg twice daily for seven days, Permite Bb soap bar for a bath, apply five percent Permite cream (Permethrin) at night on day one and day seven (all over the body below the neck). The cream should remain eight to twelve hours in contact. Wash the next morning. Please avoid scratching or rubbing lesions as it may cause secondary bacterial infection.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Today there is lockdown here. I cannot go to the chemist. So could you please tell me any cream I can use which I have at home like T-Bact, Dipsalic, Betnovate, Soframycin, Tigboderm?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You can also use T-bact (Mupirocin cream) and Soframycin (Framycetin sulfate).

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I also wanted to ask one more thing. He gets red pimples, sometimes pus-filled on his chest. What can be the reason, and what should be done to avoid this? He has high triglycerides, around 470 milligrams per decilitre. Can it cause this?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is Furunculosis or folliculitis (infection of a hair follicle) caused by the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus. Use Antibacterial creams like: T-bact (Mupirocin cream) twice daily for seven days or Fucidin cream (Fusidic acid) twice daily for seven days. Take Tablet Emanzen-D (Diclofenac + Serratiopeptidase) twice daily for three days (if painful).

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Why does it happen again and again in the chest area? What can be done to prevent it from happening?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Wash hands properly. Avoid contamination from infected doorknobs, sharing of towels, contact with fomite (infected). Maintain proper hygiene. Please avoid scratching or rubbing as it may cause bacterial infection. Take proper antiseptic measures.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Why does acne start appearing on the face from the last few months? Is it because of high triglycerides? Also, what needs to be done and taken care of to fix this?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Mole or nevi is a different lesion. It requires no treatment, or if cosmetic concern, and then the laser can be helpful. For acne lesions, Acnesol gel (Pimpal) at daytime for fifteen days. Benzac AC (Benzoylperoxide) 2.5 percent gel at night for fifteen days. D Acne face wash twice daily for fifteen days. Tablet Azithromycin 500 mg (Zithromax) once a day before food for three days a week (for three weeks). Avoid diets like excess dairy products or high-calorie diets, high carbohydrates, fatty food, chocolate, fast foods, spicy foods.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
