Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 26-year-old female. I have obesity, and I am five weeks pregnant. I had a miscarriage four years ago. Now, my BP is under control. The doctor prescribed me the tablet Ecosprin 75 mg once daily from now onwards. Is it a safe drug?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Ecosprin (Aspirin) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with antiplatelet action to prevent stroke, hypertension, and clot formation. Excess body weight, history of obesity, previous miscarriage, or multiple miscarriages can be risk factors for further miscarriage or failed pregnancy. To prevent the medical side effects, obstetrician advice is necessary. As soon as the heartbeat becomes normal in healthy intrauterine pregnancy, doctors start Aspirin. In case of bleeding, pain, or palpitations, report to the hospital.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
