Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had eczema on my penis. I have been using Anustat for four days, and it is not getting better. Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I have gone through the image you have attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). Are you sexually active and had any unprotected sex?

Kindly revert with the answers.

Patient's Query

Thank you for your reply, doctor.

I am around 50 years old and have had no sexual activity for the past two months. I have been taking the following medicines for more than ten years:

  1. Atenolol 50 mg.
  2. Pantoprazole 40 mg.
  3. Escitalopram 10 mg.
  4. Amlodipine 5 mg.
  5. Crestor 10 mg.
  6. Fenofibrate 200 mg.
  7. Pancreatin.

Can I contract this infection from sharing the toilet? Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

This can be due to bacterial infection. Please answer the following questions:

  1. Is it painful or itching?
  2. Is it more irritating rather than painful?
  3. Do you get more perspiration in your private parts?
  4. Do you wear tight undergarments and pants?

Kindly revert with answers.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you for your reply, doctor.

I have had excessive sweating in that area for four weeks. There is no pain or itching. I wear moderately tight clothing.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I would suggest the following:

  1. Apply Clindamycin cream twice daily.
  2. Apply Betadine ointment twice daily.
  3. Tablet Montelukast and Levocetirizine combination once daily at night before going to sleep for two weeks.
  4. Try to avoid perspiration and maintain proper hygiene.
  5. Avoid tight undergarments.

Kindly revert for more queries.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you for your reply, doctor.

Do you think cortisone will not work? Is it bacterial? Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The steroids will not be effective. Are you bisexual?

Kindly revert for more queries.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you for your reply, doctor.

I am not bisexual, and no anal sex with women too.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

There is no exposure to anal organisms. So I think Clindamycin cream and Betadine ointment will be effective.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
