Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a skin rash on my legs or arms all the time. There is only one rash at a time and at different places every time. What could this be? I have had this issue for at least 10 years and maybe more.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have seen the image (attachment removed to protect patient identity). But, please let me know the following:

  1. Is this rash associated with itching?
  2. Have you consulted a dermatologist in the past?
  3. What topical medications have you used for this?
  4. The clinical photograph attached is of which body part?
  5. How many days does it take to resolve?
  6. Do you have any medical history?
  7. At present, do you have this single lesion?

Please send few clear images of the lesion, one in the close-up view and the other involving the body part affected.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

There is no itching. I have not been to a dermatologist before since it never caused a problem. I just wonder what it is. I have not used any medication for this. The photo is from my right foot. The last one was of my right hand. It usually takes a couple of months before it fades away. Now, I have just this lesion. The one on the arm is almost gone. It was hard to take a better photo.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It looks like eczema. Consider the application of an intense moisturizer like Venusia Max Cream. I also suggest using Flutivate cream (Fluticasone 0.05%) once daily only over the lesion till it resolves. It is a mild steroid. Skin biopsy for histopathology can be done from the lesion to confirm the diagnosis.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
