Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am having gas troubles and not able to go to motion properly. Sometimes I keep burping with burning feel in the throat. It will be there for sometime and goes away. I do not drink or smoke. I am eating healthy food on time. What could be the problem?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

This is likely gastric reflux, which is frequently aggravated by constipation. I guess you do not have any chest pain or burning which occurs on exertion and relieves with rest, this is just to rule out the possibility of cardiac cause.

Now you should continue to have a healthy diet like avoiding fatty, spicy meals. Avoid heavy meals and have some walk after the meals rather than resting immediately. Have a light dinner. Elevate the head end while sleeping by using pillows. You should have plenty of vegetables and salads in your diet. Also, have regular exercises like brisk walking for at least 30 minutes a day. Proper sleep is also necessary to keep this under check.

Also, you will need an antacid for a short period of time, like capsule Cyra D (Rabeprazole) before breakfast for seven days. And you should also have syrup Cremaffin plus 2 teaspoons at bedtime whenever needed for constipation. Also, if constipation persists then you should get your thyroid level checked.

I hope this helps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
