Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had two EKGs one before the activity and one after it. I am attaching the reports of it. Kindly review and confirm if there is any abnormality.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern regarding chest discomfort. I have looked at both of your ECGs (electrocardiogram) (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity), after activity, there are some ST and T wave changes seen, but their significance at present is debatable. There are tests like stress echo (electrocardiogram), which will give us a better idea of whether there are really any changes or not because to call those changes specific, a target heart rate has to be achieved. Do you have any family history of cardiac conditions? Do you have diabetes or hypertension? Do you smoke or consume alcohol? If you have the above risks, then you should surely go for a stress echo. Hope this helps thanks. Kindly revert back in case of any queries. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your reply. I have an autoimmune condition. How much of a concern is the ST and T wave change?

Answered by Dr. Yash Kathuria

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Many autoimmune conditions may lead to cardiac issues, but the nonspecific ECG changes would confirm that. Given your history of autoimmune conditions, I would suggest you get a stress echo done so that doubt can be cleared. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
