Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had unprotected sex after taking an emergency pill, and it has been 72 hours. Now I am worried about getting pregnant. I previously took one emergency pill before 15 days.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thanks for writing in. An emergency pill works if taken immediately after unprotected sex and within 72 hours. If you have taken the pill before unprotected sex, it might not always help. Right now, you need not get anxious, and please wait for your periods. If it does not happen for more than seven days after the expected date, go to a doctor.

Regards and thanks.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
