Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a few queries about my sexual health. I have been masturbating for the past six years. Now, I am in a sexual relationship with a girl. I have a few sexual concerns; my penis, without stimulation, quickly goes to an unerected state? Is this related to a psychological issue, or is it ED? I am anxious because this is my first sexual experience.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. According to your complaints, you may have erectile dysfunction (ED). Reasons for Erectile Dysfunction (ED) are; stress due to work or family-related, night duties, planning for regular exercise, and yoga. Depression can also cause ED. Varicocele can be detected with an ultrasound of the scrotum. Fear of failure - having one episode of ED once may make you feel you will end up with ED. Low self-esteem (chronic masturbation). Homosexuality – attracted to same-sex. Religious constraints. Smoking and alcohol. Long-term illness – cardiac disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, any other disease with long-term medication. Simple Vitamin deficiency – I suggest you tablet Zincovit (vitamin A, B complex, C, D, and zinc) and Shelcal (Calcium 500 mg and cholecalciferol 250 IU). Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them and take medicines with their consent. A negative attitude towards your partner can also cause it. Hormonal issue – thyroid issue, low testosterone, increased prolactin. Long-term drug usage. Diabetes and hypertension.

I suggest you perform the following tests; doppler penis, ultrasound of pelvis and scrotum, blood pressure, random blood sugar (RBS), testosterone, and thyroid function tests.

Please share more details regarding the above reasons; we can work on diagnosis and treatment. It would help if you planned for regular exercise and a proper diet. Exercises that might benefit you are kegel, glute bridge, reclined butterfly pose, lying leg raise, plank, push up, squat, hip flexor lunge, swimming, running or fast walk for five minutes, and yoga. Eat strawberry, apple, avocado, sweet potato, sesame seed, almond, garlic, and a little chocolate. For a temporary solution, I suggest you tablet Maldfil (Tadalafil) 5 mg twice daily. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them and take medicines with their consent.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
