Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been using Sildenafil for erectile dysfunction twice while having sex, but it did not help me. My doctor suggested it for ED. Can you help me with ED? What tablet can help me out? Or any other Ayurveda medicines that will help me. My age is 40 years. I do not have any other diseases, and I do not take any other tablets. I am not sexually active, but I face this issue when I am involved once in six months. I have had this ED problem for the past six months.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern about your symptoms. According to your complaints, you may have erectile dysfunction.

The reasons for erectile dysfunction are,

  • Stress due to work or family-related and night duties.
  • Depression.
  • Varicocele.
  • Fear of failure - having one episode of ED may make you feel you will end up with ED.
  • Low self-esteem (maybe because of chronic masturbation)
  • Homosexuality.
  • Religious constraints.
  • Smoking and alcohol.
  • Long-term illnesses like cardiac disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, or any other disease with long-term medication.
  • Simple vitamin deficiency.
  • Negative attitude toward your partner
  • Hormonal issues like thyroid problems, low testosterone, and increased prolactin.
  • Long-term drug usage.
  • Diabetes and hypertension.

I recommend for doppler penis, USG - pelvis, and scrotum, check for blood pressure, random blood sugar, T3 (triiodothyronine), T4 (thyroxine), testosterone, and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone).

Please share more details regarding the above reasons, and we can work on diagnosis and treatment. You can plan exercises like kegel, glute bridge, reclined butterfly pose, lying leg raise, plank, push up, squat, hip flexor lunge, swimming, running or fast walking, and yoga. Foods like strawberry, apple, avocado, sweet potato, sesame seed, almond, garlic, and a few quantities of chocolates can help. For a temporary solution, I suggest Tablet Mildfil (Tadalafil) - 5 mg twice daily.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
