Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been having problems with erection for the last two weeks. This problem started recently. Everything was good for two weeks, but now I have low sexual desire. I quarreled with my wife because of an erection issue. The problem started after that. I also have a low semen count after ejaculation. I am constantly worrying due to this. I have a fear of sex because of my erection problem. I fear if I will have an erection or not.

I do not have any medical illness. I am not taking any medicine for any disease. Please suggest treatment options to increase my sex drive and sperm count, and have a proper erection.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

You need a mood elevator by SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor), so please start Escitalopram 20 mg at night. Along with this, also do some pelvic muscle exercises. Escitalopram has also been used in anxiety-related disorders, which will also help reduce your anxiety. However, the effects of drugs other than this are also used in other conditions. Please avoid the Sildenafil drug, which has a short-term response.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
