Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I tried to have sex. I have a thyroid issue, so I rechecked it. My TSH level increased from 6.4 to 8.850. I checked with a doctor for thyroid and took medicine as prescribed. My penis becomes soft when I try to enter the vagina. Is it happening because of TSH level increase or something else? What medicine do I need to overcome this? This is the first time I am facing this issue. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I do not think this is related to TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) levels. Have you got any other investigations done? Do you have diabetes or hypertension? Any other illness? Any hormonal issue? Any stress?

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I do not have any other medical condition other than thyroid. I do not drink or smoke. One thing is that I do not exercise, but I will do it from now onwards. This is the first time I am facing. The penis is getting hard but not like before, and when I try to have sex, it becomes soft. This is the only problem I am facing right now. I have attached my whole blood and urine report in the above query.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Stress is one of the critical reasons for poor erection in most individuals. This could be due to some tension. The anxiety of performance or anticipation worsens the problem. Suppose you are regular in sex, then for some time. In that case, I suggest you take medicines like tablet Sildenafil or Tadalafil, which will make your erection hard and gain confidence. This will ultimately solve your problem, and then you will bypass psychological issues, if any, behind poor erection. Exercise daily for at least half-hour and have a diet rich in proteins and complex carbs and low in fat and refined carbs. This will help to make the erection firm. I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
