Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern about your symptoms. According to your complaints, you may have erectile dysfunction (ED). The reasons for erectile dysfunction (ED) are, stress due to work or family-related night duties, Depression, Varicocele, Fear of failure - having one episode of ED once may make you feel you will end up with ED, Low-self esteem (Chronic Masturbation), Homosexuality, Religious constraints, Smoking and alcohol, Long-term illness – Cardiac disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, any other disease with long-term medication, Negative attitude towards your partner, Hormonal issue – thyroid issue, low testosterone, Long term drug usage, Diabetes and hypertension. You need to check the doppler penis, USG pelvis, scrotum, blood pressure, RBS (random blood sugar), Free T3 (triiodothyronine), T4 (thyroxine), and TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone). Please share more details regarding the above reasons, and we can work on diagnosis and treatment. For a temporary solution, you can use a tablet Mildfil 5 mg twice a day.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I can relate to an experience that I ejaculated quickly and lost confidence after that experience, but I was able to have normal sex, get an erection to masturbate, or have the feeling to have sex either with an individual. I did reduce masturbation frequently. Now I cannot get a full erection on visuals, and it takes effort if I am with a partner. I feel that I can get half erection or 70%, but something stops it. I am not a regular smoker, and I consume alcohol once or twice a week but not excessively. Tablet Tadafil worked with me for a while, but I do not want to take drugs for the rest of my life due to its side effects in the short and long terms. On a side note taking pills give instant erection the moment I swallow and initiate and intercourse. I always believe it should take time before taking effect.I did a P-Shot treatment, and it worked for me in the short term. I think. During that time, I did testosterone tests and was told that there are no issues with that by the three doctors I consulted. I live a healthy lifestyle, workout daily, with moderated diet. The issue started in my mid 20's and kept going downhill after 30.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Suppose you can get an erection to insert a penis inside the vagina, good for having a 100% erection. You need to increase foreplay before sex to pool more blood inside the penis. Smoking has a direct effect on erection. You should stop smoking as soon as possible. Alcohol needs to be reduced. Tadalafil will not have much of side effects, and you can taper the drug after some time. Do not use it every day like you use medication for headaches or colds. For natural erection, foreplay plays an important role. You can try sensate focus helps in the long duration of sex and for a good erection. P-Shot treatment is good but not safe on a long-term basis. Good to know, you need to continue regular exercise and plan for yoga to improve your stamina.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

It is not enough every time to insert, and the erection is not complete also. It can be lost during sex. Again I cannot have my erection on my own demand. It can be so random. Also, to get an erection after ejaculation is nearly impossible. It is hard to get Tadafil straight from the pharmacy, and I do not want to count on them as I believe I should not look at this age. I may have fear or anxiety from sex, not getting erections, or not pleasing my partner. I may not have been introduced to sex in the right way when I was a child. I did manage few times only to have complete sex without pills, but it is not consistent. Is there any recommended solution other than drugs? A procedure or surgery that can help to treat the issue?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Since you get an erection and during sex, you lose, it means that are very little chance of an issue inside the penis. We can check for a hormonal investigation like thyroid and prolactin. You can try increasing the foreplay and medication to gather and slowly get out of medication. I insist on medication repeatedly because the result is immediate and fewer side effects than other invasive procedures. Random and controlled erection is mind control. You need to be 100% in sex when you are having sex. It should be a flow, and concentration should be more on satisfying your partner than your erection. Yes, you cannot get medication over the counter. You can check online. And medication is not a long-term method. It is taken when needed. Having sex with the same partner for a long duration will ease away your anxiety. Talk to your partner and get her needs and explain what you want in sex. It works out a lot rather than making your partner in confusion. Yes, surgery are available. The penile prosthesis has a good response.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
