Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am addicted to masturbation for the past three months. I am not able to stop doing it. Nowadays, I am getting body pain often. Could frequent masturbation result in body weakness and muscle spasm? Kindly suggest some ways to stop getting addicted to masturbation.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Masturbation is normal; ninety-five percent of males do that (out of a hundred males, ninety-five). It is just another way of having sex without a partner. It is a good practice and helps to relieve stress. It also boosts mood, improves sleep, helps to prevent depression and anxiety, relaxes the mind of a person, relieves pain and muscle cramps, relieves sexual tension, improves the confidence of a person, allows one to have better sex, and helps the person understand his needs and desires. In females, masturbation increases vaginal blood flow. Masturbation will not harm your penis; having it two to three times a week is not an issue; more than that can cause tiredness, loss of concentration, sense of infertility. Ways to reduce masturbation

  • Sex education.
  • Physical exercises.
  • Sleep adjustment.
  • Quality of sleep.
  • Healthy and balanced diet.
  • Programming for leisure time.
  • Development of spirituality.
  • Taking a cold bath.

For tiredness or a decrease in strength, you can use the following:

  1. Capsule Astymin forte once a morning.
  2. Tablet Shelcal once a night after food for thirty days.

Regards.
