Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a married female in my twenties. I have been married for a year. Before marriage, I used to masturbation with fingering four to five times a day. Just before our marriage the frequency of masturbation has increased. I feel that my vagina is not tight, and my husband is not satisfied with me during intercourse. After marriage, my libido has reduced. And I am facing issues regarding fertility too.

Please help me.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understood your concern.

Based on the information you provided, fingering cannot cause loose vagina, so do not worry. However, the insertion of an object into the vagina can loosen it over time. Your concern for low libido can have many reasons, like

  1. Infections - To rule out urine infection I suggest you undergo urine analysis test and pelvic ultrasound scan.
  2. Diabetes or hypertension – To rule out these conditions, I suggest you measure your blood pressure and blood sugar level. If you are already on medications for these conditions, then please provide the names of the medications as some medications can lower libido.
  3. Hormonal disturbances, such as low levels of testosterone, low levels of thyroid hormones, and high levels of prolactin can also cause a reduction in libido. To rule out these hormonal imbalances I suggest you undergo thyroid function tests, tests to detect prolactin and testosterone levels.
  4. Obesity - In case of obesity, regular exercise and yoga can help to reduce weight.
  5. High cholesterol - To detect cholesterol levels, I suggest you take a lipid profile test. And if the reports show elevated levels, then I suggest you consult a specialist, talk with them, and take the medications with their consent.
  6. Apart from these, some chronic diseases, medication, or anxiety can also cause libido issues.

Regarding your fertility issues, fingering has no impact on it, and I suggest you consult a specialist regarding fertility problems, talk with them, and get treated accordingly. And regarding dissatisfaction during intercourse, couple therapy and counseling can help.

I hope this has helped you out.

Please follow-up in case of any more doubts.

Thank you.
