Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have pain behind my right eye, and it hurts more with eye movement (more up or down). It is a chronic pain for 24 hours, and it has been six months since I have had it. The pain is only behind my right eye; my left eye is fine. I do not have any symptoms at all. I do not have any medical issues right now, only this pain. It is a chronic dull aching pain.

I uploaded an image pointing out where the pain is exactly. When I move the eye up or down, I feel there is a muscle pulling from the eye. I did an MRI because I had migraines last month. I just would like to see if there is anything in the eye or the orbit or if the muscles of the right eye are abnormal.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

From the two MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) images (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) with the circles in the area of interest behind the eyes, I do not find any serious concern. Sorry that I am not able to view your MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) images even after downloading. It is showing an error in the zip file.

Request you to upload images again or talk to customer care for help.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I did send you an email with the file. Also, I was searching for a disease that matches my symptoms, and I found (trochleitis) is very similar, or any orbital muscle pain, which is swelling or inflammation of the upper eye muscles. Hopefully, we can find an answer to my issue.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The images (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) of the brain and the eyes are normal. There is no problem in the muscles of the eyes.

However, there is a mild S-shaped deviation of the nasal septum and a left concha bullosa which can cause headaches in some people. It is not a serious problem. You can consult your ENT (ear, nose and throat specialist) doctor and discuss this if needed.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
