Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have an inflamed eyelid that may be caused by an old eyeliner makeup I used. It has been two days, and the eyelid is still red, sore, and puffy. The eye itself is not affected; it is just the lid. Although I tried warm compresses, tea tree oil, and makeup remover, nothing worked to bring this swelling and soreness down. I have a couple of tablets of Doxycycline hyclate from my roommate that she takes for her acne. Should I take one? They are 100 mg. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I suggest, tablet Amoxclav (Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium) 625 mg thrice daily for three days would be better (it is for infection).Tablet Diclofenac plus serratiopeptidase once after meals for three days (for pain and swelling).Tablet Omeprazole 20 mg every morning, empty stomach for three days. Moxifloxacin eye drops four times for five days. Kindly consult with your doctor before taking medications. I hope you find it helpful. Kind regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
