Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 44-year-old male. I suffer from the following:

  1. Grade one to two non-alcoholic fatty liver.
  2. High lipid levels (total cholesterol - 231, LDL- 157, Triglyceride - 214, HDL- 31).
  3. Hyperacidity and GERD.

I do not smoke or drink. How can I improve my health?

Kindly help.

Answered by Dr. Nagaraj

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern. The fatty changes identified on the ultrasound scan and the raised lipid profile are due to a sedentary lifestyle and are common in men who do desk jobs. Your lipid profile is not too high to be concerned. I suggest you to follow a few instructions mentioned below.

  1. Follow up with your medical and family history of diabetes, hypertension, stroke, and heart problems for risk categorization.
  2. Consume a balanced diet.
  3. Avoid frequently eating unhealthy food, such as oily or fried items.
  4. Exercise regularly.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
