Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My daughter is 10 years old and has had fever for the past four days. The fever goes up to 104 degrees Fahrenheit almost every day and fever breaks for 2.5 hours approximately. The tests for dengue, malaria, and typhoid came negative. CRP value is 49, which is very high. We are giving Crocin 500 continuously at intervals of six hours and have now started taking the Meftal Forte tablet twice daily. Should I change the medication?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I reviewed your query. It could be due to a viral infection. I suggest you to follow a few instructions mentioned below.

  1. Give tablet Paracetamol (analgesic and antipyretic) 600 mg after every four hours.
  2. Consider giving the entire body sponge bath in lukewarm warm water.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them and take medications with their consent.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
