Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been suffering from excessive gas in my stomach for the past two years. I have tried everything to overcome this; I have changed my diet and avoided every food that might cause gas. I feel embarrassed to go out. I am so nervous and disheartened. Kindly help me with this issue. I will be thankful to you in this regard.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. If your problem is chronic and resistant to medications it is time that you do a proper evaluation to rule out certain conditions that might cause gas like - Chronic dietary intake of foods causing gas such as cauliflower, brussels sprouts, dried beans, broccoli, cabbage, and milk, lactose intolerance, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), excessive consumption of carbonated beverages. Just medications might not help if the exact reason is not understood behind your chronic problem. I hope this will relieve your anxiety and make you confident. Kindly follow up if you have more doubts. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
