Floating Ribs Pain

Floating ribs (Slipping rib syndrome or Cyriax syndrome) causes pain in the upper abdomen or the lower chest. This occurs due to the impinging of the ribs (hypermobile and slipping in nature) on the adjacent structures such as muscles, nerves, and other tissues. Radiological investigations are necessary to exclude the other problems and medical conditions for the diagnosis of floating ribs.
