Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been facing bumps and pimples in my upper right thigh for five days or so. It is swollen, reddish, and pains a bit when I touch it. It appeared just five days before when I woke up, and I did not have this infection before.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As per the history you provided, the condition is called Acute folliculitis. It appears as red pimples on any body area with the presence of hair follicles and may appear on and off. But it is easily manageable with medications. Advice: Mupirocin cream to be applied three times a day to the affected area for four weeks. Tab Limcee (vitamin C) chewable tablet to be taken after food for four weeks. At home, salt water fomentation can be done. Apply a towel soaked in lukewarm salt water to the affected area for five mins, twice daily for two weeks or whenever it appears, for faster healing. I hope it could be of help. Stay healthy, happy, and safe.
