Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had a bump on my scrotal skin (not the testicle). I have health anxiety, and I am afraid of cancer. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. If it is white bumps on the scrotum, it could be Fordyce granules. If there is swelling and mild redness or inflammation of the lesion, it may be due to infectious causes. I would suggest apply Mupirocin ointment twice daily for seven days. Take Tablet Zifi (Cefixime) 200 mg twice daily after food for five days. Keep the area clean and dry. Avoid scratching and rubbing the lesions. Avoid popping or pricking at the lesion. Keep a check on sugar levels. Wear comfortable thin cotton inner garments. Avoid friction in that area. Take Tablet Emanzen D (Diclofenac and Serratiopeptidase) twice daily for three days in case of pain. Apply 1 percent Hydrocortisone cream at night for seven days. Clean area with povidone-iodine and cotton gauze piece daily. I hope this helps. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you for your reply, doctor.

Could this be a sebaceous cyst? Does it look like something serious? Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

No, it is not serious (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). However, it can be an infective Fordyce cyst or a sebaceous cyst. Follow up after taking above mentioned treatment. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
