Patient's Query

Hi,

My 61-year-old mother has started to show signs of forgetfulness. How can we help prevent the forgetfulness from proceeding further? Is there any medicine or any non-medicine techniques? She forgets things on the way she carries from the grocery store and remembers once she reaches home. She forgets our mobile numbers, which she previously remembered. If we talk with her regarding a past happening, she becomes clueless. What can we do now? Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

I recommend consulting with a neurologist for a physical examination and cognitive tests.

Your mother may need a brain MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) coupled with other blood laboratory tests like complete blood count (CBC), thyroid hormone levels, vitamin D plasma, and vitamin E plasma levels.

I hope you will find this information helpful.

I would be glad to assist you again whenever you need me.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
