Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

The bottom last molar has been in a lot of pain. First, the crown fell off, and the top tooth moved down, so I had to have it adjusted. Then the tooth started hurting very badly, so I had to get a root canal treatment. After the root canal treatment, the constant pain is gone, but it hurts when touched (now with a permanent crown on) with my tongue. Also, every time I go to bed or when I wake up, the crown feels higher. I have been wondering if the tooth was cracked before the crown was put on.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Please be calm.

See, in case of fracture, there is pain only on biting. In over-contoured restoration, there is pain during chewing.

If you are experiencing these problems, do update me.

Otherwise, there is no problem.

With time, the restoration will get set.

The Probable causes

Over-contoured or fracture.

Investigations to be done

X- ray.

Differential diagnosis

Pain (chief complaint).

Probable diagnosis

Pain (chief complaint).

Treatment plan

If symptoms occur.

Preventive measures

Accordingly.

Regarding follow up

Please wait for 5 to 7 days or update me the symptoms if experienced any. I think the information you provided has any chances of fracture or pain. Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
